Gold color lugs ideal for intended use
I needed lugs to work well with the tinsel wire typically used in phone cords, in order to convert from modular to lug type cords, and these filled the need exactly. Also used them to fit a new cord to 52 type operator's headsets by cutting the spade end off after crimping...again a big win! As an aside, there are many current handset cords used on new type office phones, which come with a fairly long straight section on one end. This is ideal to install on the operator headset, stripping the outer jacket, extracting the two white wires, then folding over as Western Electric did. This gives you the two whites for the receiver, and the red and black for the transmitter, allowing use in place of a handset, or for other purposes. In my special application, I crimped on an RJ-45 plug, using four of the connections for my purpose, to avopid someone plugging into a wrong jack! For others, we could just as easily used a normal double plug.
