1905 3-Slot Payphone Directions solid brass replica - early Gray Paystation copy.  Raised letters and there is a clear plastic protective cover over the placard. Duplicates the earliest direction placards that were on the 12” x 4” Gray pay stations. It is 4 1/4” x 1 7/8” and expected to line up for fastening onto the fronts of the old Grays.  These were  made around 30 years ago.  b This directions plate was often absent.

This style that this style was used until around 1910 when a celluloid plate was used until around 1916 when a cardboard in frame was used with glass (not plastic) protecting the cardboard. I think they’d all nearly interchange, but the celluloid ones were in a frame that may have been riveted on instead of frame with screws (as the most recent). Of course the direction would vary geographically.

This is the style with the Blue Bells We have 1 other style for sale.
