Nice looking durable & flexible phone cord
I wanted a period-correct looking black rubber phone cord for my WE500 phone, and this looked right. What wasn't clear in the description or in the photo was whether it had a metal restraining clip at the telephone end that would hook into the slot in the telephone base to provide strain relief. YES it does and fits perfectly. It is aluminum vs. steel, but works fine, and makes the attachment at the phone very strong. The internal wiring is a robust stranded type, but since the cord is a relatively large diameter the RJ connector doesn't crimp to the outer jacket but rather to the internal wires only, to my eye giving it a fragile unfinished look. However given the high strength of the internal wires at the crimped connector I'm pretty sure it will be durable, and the plug is hidden from view so no issue there. The exposed wires at the telephone end have proper crimped spades on them, and are long enough to easily reach all the screw posts inside the telephone.
