I Had a 1968 W.E. 554 in great shape. I replaced the network box and cleaned it up however something felt like it was missing. I removed the clear plastic dial and installed the black metal finger wheel and added the script "wait for dial tone" center ring and it really set it off nice! Also gives it a little bit more of a retro feel if you grew up with the clear plastic wheel on your kitchen phone and wanted something older looking than that. I customize Harley-Davidsons for a living and realize the devil's in the details for just the right feel. "Old Phone Shop" is an awesome place to get ideas, and help.
