My phone was made before the introduction of area codes, so I wanted the appropriate look. I printed the phone number on label stock using a laser printer, carefully cut it out with scissors, and stuck it onto the white part of the dial card. It looks quite good! The card fits the Western Electric model 500 correctly, the plastic cover is just right, and it isn't hard to install.
