Here is an original 553A Western Electric Apartment wall telephone which was made in the 1920s.Its black with solid brass trim including the receiver hook, finger wheel and transmitter cup and apartment sign. There is also a nice Brass dial number card holder with a very old original dial card. This one is in nice shape.
This has the Bakelite bulldog transmitter as they were refurbished by Western Electric in the 1940s.
This is the wall version of the candlestick telephone and it works very well. Its 2 gong ringer provides a beautiful ring that can only be heard in phones from the 1920s and 1930s. Both cords are brown cloth covered cords. The apartment sign has its original glass.
