I order an original WE rubber handset cord and a new cloth version. Both are great in their own regard toward your ultimate goal. The original rubber cord was in very good condition and showed a little bit of character to enhance the look of an original phone that will just sit in retirement for display purposes only. The cloth cord was put on a phone that was placed in an area of our house to encourage friends and guests to pick up the handset and enjoy the feeling of a true historic device that led to our current smart phones. Both fit perfectly and helped me complete my multi-phone restorations. I would buy again.
