Here is an Automatic Electric Monophone A1 Highboy or High cradle telephone that was manufactured in the 1920s.
This telephone is rare because most of these did not have the high solid brass cradle. They were low and made of bakelite. This is a very good example of art deco. The stylish bakelite handset with the spitcup has had its bands newly re-nickled. The finger wheel has been replated as well. All bakelite has been painstakingly polished to a high gloss.
A network has been added so you can fully use this beautiful antique telephone. We can add a fancy bakelite ringer box to this rare phone at an additional cost. We have been restoring antique telephones for 18 years and we love what we do and it shows.
NOTE: A black braided extensicord for the handset is pictured but you will only receive a black cloth handset cord. If you want this braided extensicord add $95 to auction price once auction ends.
These cords are very much sought after. A black cloth line cord (NOT PICTURED BUT INCLUDED) with a modular end complete this beautiful telephone. All you have to do is plug it in and use it.
